What the Caretakers are looking for:

1. Artists who create performance, installation, educational, or 2D work.
2. Artists who want to reach the local San Francisco community be creating accessible and high quality work.
3. Artists who want to teach free or low cost classes or workshops for donation based or trade based arrangements.

What the Caretakers will Provide the Artist

1. at least one rehearsal, workshop, or session per week within a prearranged time frame.
2. storage may be available upon request
3. Full use of the facilities (Restroom, Kitchen, AV Equipment)
4. Assistance with promoting events through our community network.
5. Performance or reception space for the final showing of the artists work.
6. Letters of Recommendation for Future positions.

What the Caretakers expect from the Artist in Residence:

1. Artist must return the space to the condition which they found it after events or sessions.
2. Artist must actively contribute to the growth of the Caretakers through one of these possible ways which will be arranged before the residency begins:
   1. equipment donations to the space
   2. maintenance
   3. improvement
   4. supporting other events at the Caretakers (volunteering, curating, opening house, doorman, cleanup, etc)
3. A performance, showcase, gallery opening or any other event open to the public which showcases your work developed in the residency
